If you're getting this message, I'm either no longer on Verdana, no longer awake on Verdana, or no longer awake on Verdana in the same timestream as you. It's also possible that none of the above applies, and what's actually happened is that you've successfully kept my attention for over 36 hours without getting distracted yourself, in which case congratulations, you are now allowed 12% of the amount of mockery you'd like to give my low-tech approach to clocking in.
I'm really hoping it's that last one, but given everything that's happened it's not likely and, at this point, I'm really running out of any room to talk about your tendency to ramble past tough subjects. You'd think, given that this is the third draft of a message like this I've come up with, I'd be getting better at it.
To make a long story short, I set up a task to send this to you if, for whatever reason, I went more than 36 hours separated from my laptop. If you're getting this and it's not a mistake, I am so, so sorry that I've left you here. I know you're more than capable of looking after yourself, but that doesn't mean I want to see you here without me. I also know that if there's any way at all to get me back, or to bring us both home, you'll make it happen. In the meantime, I've attached a spreadsheet with the current state of my financial holdings here. All my accounts and investments have been made joint with you, and I've added your name to the title on the building. Given the transient nature of some of our friends' disappearances, a formal will just seemed like it would cause more problems than it would prevent.
Check the mountains at these coordinates and you'll hopefully find a capsule I put together when the timeshift was going on. I don't know how well they kept, but I ended up troubleshooting for a promising electronics corporation and some of their product is in there for you.
Piper should be fine to keep Callahan's running day to day, as well as handling staffing like Dani, but please retain ownership of it. I'm not going to ask you to take over wedding planning for Kaylee and Luke, but if you could let them, and Inara, know where I've gone, and cut them a check if they need expenses covered, that would be great. At this point, I'm still in the planning stages for that trade trip south. I'd sought out a few interested parties, so you may have to field a few questions about what's going on there. If you find the time to send people out, you might get some interesting information. They're a separate country and I'm in the process of negotiating for airspace access, so if Bellona's government ends up being obstructive in anything you might need help with, that could be another set of politicians to apply yourself to.
